Privacy Policy

Here is our Privacy Policy required by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of 1999.  Please call us if you have any questions about this policy.

We collect nonpublic personal information about you that is provided to us on tax organizers, worksheets, applications and other documents, or obtained by us with your authorization.

We do not disclose any non public personal information about our clients or former clients except as required or permitted by law.  Permitted disclosures include, for instance, providing information to our employees, and in limited situations, to unrelated third parties who need to know that information to assist us in providing services to you.

We may use third-party service providers to assist in preparing your return, but these preparers will not make substantive decisions concerning your return.  We maintain internal policies, procedures and safeguards to protect the confidentiality of your personal information. In addition, we have confidentiality agreements with all service providers to maintain the confidentiality of your information and we will take reasonable precautions to determine that they have appropriate procedures in place to prevent the unauthorized release of your confidential information to others.

In accordance with federal law, in no case will we disclose your tax return information to any location outside the United States, to another tax return preparer outside of our firm for purposes of a second opinion, or to any other third party for any purpose other than to assist in the preparation of your returns without first receiving your consent.

We retain records relating to professional services that we provide so that we are better able to assist you with your professional needs and, in some cases, to comply with professional guidelines.  In order to guard your nonpublic personal information, we maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with our professional standards.

We keep electronic copies of tax returns, tax data and other information on servers located outside of our office. Such storage includes information that is confidential to you. Also, we may communicate by sending electronic mail over the internet. Such communications may include information that is confidential to you.  Our firm employs measures in the use of computer technology and storage designed to maintain data security.  While we use our best efforts to keep such storage and communications secure in accordance with our obligations under applicable laws and professional standards, we have no control over the unauthorized interception of these communications once they have been sent.
